Michel Fermaud was a French author, screenwriter, and film director. He co-directed Les portes claquent (1960) with Jacques Poitrenaud and co-wrote the screenplay for François Truffaut's The Man Who Loved Women (1977). Fermaud's work often explored themes of love and human relationships, contributing to the French New Wave cinema movement. His collaborations with notable directors and his own directorial ventures reflect his significant role in mid-20th-century French cinema.
