Biography

James Xavier Lam is an Actor, Voice Over Artist, and Comedian from Cambridge, England. He was born in Newmarket, Suffolk in December, 1990. Lam started his acting career on the West End of London, booking ensemble and lead roles in large theaters, such as 'Her Majesty's Theatre' 'The Lyceum' and many more. Lam has been awarded Discinctions in both Bronze, and Silver medal LAMDA Acting examinations. Between 2007 and 2010, Lam worked extensively with the National Youth Theatre and IdeasTap and was ultimately selected out of several hundred applicants to be part of Kevin Spacey's 'The Class' a pilot for the now wildly successful Masterclass online series. Shortly after this Lam made his transition from stage to screen and found a penchant for Independent film and Voice Work. He worked exclusively as the resident actor for the BFI (British Film Institute) Academy program from the year 2013 - 2014 and appeared in two of the projects produced during that time, alongside tutoring film making students on working with actors on set. Following his move to Canada in the summer of 2015, James has been active in the indie film, academic, voice acting, and theatre communities. Lam is now known for his recurring guest roles in "What Happened in the Malachite Wastes?" and a slew of Independent Short Film work.
