
Nick Van Dyk

Nick van Dyk is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Nexon Corporation and President of Nexon Studios. In this role, he leads global strategy. He oversees the development of film, television, and transmedia projects based on Nexon's portfolio of online game franchises. Before joining Nexon, Nick served as Co-President of Activision Blizzard Studios, the film and television division of Activision Blizzard, where he oversaw adapting the company's most iconic franchises—including Call of Duty, StarCraft, Destiny, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Skylanders—into long- and short-form entertainment. He oversaw all aspects of the studio's operations, from development and financing to production and distribution. He launched projects such as the animated series Skylanders Academy. Nick's career spans senior leadership roles across major entertainment and media companies. He spent more than nine years at The Walt Disney Company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, where he helped shape Disney's franchise-centred strategy and played a key role in the acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer at Artisan Entertainment, the largest independent film studio. He later became a partner at First Family Entertainment. He also held a senior strategy role at Thomson-Technicolour. Nick began his professional journey as a management consultant with L.E.K. Consulting after earning a BA in Political Science from UCLA. He later received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Jill, and their two children.
